Who we need

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, we are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team. In this role, you will support accounts payable operations across multiple sites, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and on time while maintaining strong vendor relationships and supporting efficient financial operations.

Who you are

You are highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented. You may have experience in accounts payable, accounting support, or a similar administrative finance role where accuracy and responsiveness were essential. You are comfortable managing multiple priorities, following established processes, and maintaining professionalism while working with both internal stakeholders and external vendors.

You take pride in producing accurate work, staying organized, and ensuring commitments are met on time. You are proactive in identifying discrepancies, following up on outstanding items, and supporting smooth day-to-day operations within the accounting function.

How you will make an impact

Process and maintain. You will process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper coding, matching purchase orders and receiving documentation, and maintaining organized electronic records and supporting files.

Support financial operations. You will monitor vendor statements, reconcile accrued receipts, support month-end close activities, and help ensure all transactions are completed accurately and on schedule.

Collaborate and resolve. You will partner with internal departments and suppliers to resolve invoice discrepancies, receiving issues, and payment concerns while maintaining professionalism and responsiveness.

Improve processes. You will proactively identify discrepancies, escalate unresolved issues appropriately, and contribute ideas that support continuous improvement within accounts payable and accounting operations.

What you bring

The accounting foundation. You have experience in accounts payable, accounting support, or a related finance role. You understand the importance of accuracy, organization, and timely processing in supporting business operations. Experience in a food manufacturing environment is considered an asset.

The technical skills. You are proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and are comfortable working within ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar accounting platforms. You have strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

The organizational abilities. You can effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality. You are organized, responsive, and able to maintain accurate records while meeting deadlines consistently.

The communication skills. You have strong written and verbal communication skills in English and can interact professionally with suppliers, cross-functional teams, and internal stakeholders. You are comfortable following up on outstanding items and resolving issues collaboratively.

The adaptability. You are proactive, dependable, and comfortable working in an environment where priorities may shift. You remain focused under pressure and are committed to maintaining professionalism, accountability, and accuracy in your work.

The expected base pay range for this role is $55,000 - $60,000

Final compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate’s experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
