Who we need:
Reporting to the Director of Procurement, we are hiring a Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our Procurement team. You will be responsible for sourcing ingredients including dairy, gums, flavors, additives, oil, colors and indirect materials for our Brampton, Ontario and Lebanon, Indiana manufacturing facilities. You will lead vendor negotiations,contract management, identify cost-saving opportunities, and mitigate risk through alternate sourcing strategies. As a sourcing professional with deep food industry knowledge, you will build relationships, develop market insights, and contribute to procurement strategies that support product innovation, operational efficiency, and growth.
This is a full-time, hybrid role, working onsite 2-3 days per week, including every Wednesday at our Brampton, Ontario plant.

How you will make an impact:
- Lead sourcing and vendor management. You will manage vendor relationships, lead negotiations, track market trends, identify savings opportunities, and secure competitive pricing. You will publish and maintain internal pricing lists and ensure price changes are communicated and implemented in a timely and accurate manner.
- Collaborate across functions. You will act as a conduit between sales, finance, and product development teams, aligning on customer needs, pricing, and supply availability. You will ensure accurate communication of cost updates, sourcing challenges, and changes to materials availability. You will provide input into costing models and support internal planning processes.
- Leverage tools and insights. You will manage sourcing data and analysis primarily in Excel, with uploads to our ERP system (Dynamics 365). You will support decision-making through accurate cost models and forward-looking market insights, including 3/6/12-month pricing projections.
- Mitigate risk and build resilience. You will identify and onboard alternate suppliers as needed, support contract administration, and monitor supplier performance. You will efficiently address urgent supply issues, drawing on trusted vendor relationships to maintain operations.
- Support transformation. You will strengthen established processes and reporting tools, supporting continuous improvement. You will participate in initiatives that enhance visibility, efficiency, and strategic sourcing practices.
What you bring:
- The experience. You have a background in procurement or sourcing in a food or beverage manufacturing environment, ideally with exposure to packaging, raw materials, or specialty ingredients. You have worked with vendors, negotiated pricing, and supported supply continuity in a deadline-driven environment. Experience with bakery or food processing ingredients and familiarity with local and U.S.-based suppliers is preferred.
- The sourcing and negotiation expertise. You understand how to build supplier relationships and secure pricing through strategic negotiations. You are confident managing categories with limited contract volume and know how to prioritize vendors based on need, value, and availability.
- The analytical skills. You have advanced Excel skills and experience analyzing cost drivers and pricing models. You can interpret market data and supplier trends to make informed decisions and present strategic savings opportunities. You are comfortable using an ERP system.
- The collaborative mindset. You are comfortable engaging with internal stakeholders across multiple departments. You understand how to balance business needs with supplier capabilities and deliver results through relationship management and follow-through.
- The process focus. You are detail-oriented and organized. You can manage multiple sourcing streams, maintain accurate documentation, and adapt quickly in a high-volume, deadline-driven setting. You have experience contributing to process development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- The interpersonal skills. You have exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You know how to present cost analysis and vendor performance updates clearly and effectively. You can build trust, resolve issues, and drive positive outcomes internally and externally.
