Who we need
Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain Planning, we are looking for a Supply Chain Analyst (Data Analysis and Reporting). You will play an integral role in supporting the Supply Chain Planning (SCP) team, which includes Production, Materials, and Transportation Planning. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on end-to-end supply chain KPIs to support the organization’s strategic objectives.
This full-time hybrid role requires at least three days onsite at our cutting-edge production facility in Brampton, Ontario.
What’s in it for you
Influence. This is an opportunity to apply your supply chain expertise and make a meaningful impact on North American clients. You will play a key role in change management, process improvements, and strategic initiatives, gaining hands-on experience in a growing organization with unique supply chain challenges.
Autonomy. Working in a highly collaborative environment that values coaching and professional development, you will have the autonomy to test new ideas, drive process enhancements, and enhance supply chain reporting, directly influencing data-driven decision-making and shaping the future of the team’s operations.
Career development. At Skjodt-Barrett, we value the drive to bring ideas to life and the resilience to be accountable for your actions. We have a proven history of supporting the professional development and career growth of our people. Your career path could include moving into Procurement or other areas of Supply Chain, or Operations.
How you will make an impact:
- Support strategy execution. You will monitor inventory levels for Finished Goods, WIP, and Raw Materials. You will identify stranded inventory, including expired, expiring, and no-demand products. You will work cross-functionally to develop cost recovery strategies or mitigate write-off expenses, documenting root causes and proposing corrective actions to drive process improvement.
- Analyze data and generate reports. You will leverage tools and connect to various data sources to extract information from the ERP system. You will clean and standardize external data from customers and vendors. Using best practices to generate actionable insights, you will summarize and visualize data. You will develop and adapt reports to support KPI reviews across different levels, such as customer, plant, product category, and function. You will identify system performance issues, such as data errors and processing lags, and work with IT to resolve them.
- Monitor and communicate supply chain performance. You will track a balanced set of KPIs at different frequencies and highlight any performance deviations. You will collaborate with KPI owners to investigate root causes and document corrective actions. You will track key performance areas, including customer service levels, schedule adherence, work order attainment, vendor service levels, transportation spend, load utilization, transportation reliability, inventory days of supply, and inventory waste.
- Lead and facilitate review meetings. You will own and facilitate the weekly Supply Chain Performance meeting with the Production Planning, Materials Planning, and Transportation Planning teams. You will drive knowledge-sharing and increase transparency within the supply chain. You will help improve visibility into potential disruptions and proactively address risks.
- Collaborate cross-functionally. You will build and maintain relationships with stakeholders outside the Supply Chain Planning team. You will understand their perspectives, identify process and information gaps, explore automation opportunities, and support reporting needs. You will assist the Demand and Production Planners with firming work orders for the following week’s production schedule.
What you bring to the role:
- The experience. You have a background in Supply Chain Management and Data Analytics, with a proven ability to extract, transform, summarize, and visualize fragmented datasets to generate meaningful insights. You have a strong understanding of key supply chain concepts, including Customer Service Level, Asset Utilization, Safety Stock, Forecast Error, Working Capital, Reliability, Responsiveness, and Segmentation. Your structured problem-solving skills enable you to identify trends, optimize processes, and drive improvements.
- The technical skills. You are highly proficient in SQL, MS Excel, Power Query, Power BI, and DAX language, using them to create data-driven solutions and enhance decision-making. You have hands-on experience with ERP systems and a strong understanding of MRP logic, allowing you to analyze and optimize supply chain workflows. Your attention to detail ensures accuracy in reporting and process execution.
- The analytical mindset. You are naturally curious and always looking for ways to improve processes and solve complex supply chain challenges. You are a systems thinker who understands how different functions interact and impact overall performance. Your strong time management and organizational skills enable you to balance multiple priorities effectively. You continuously seek out learning opportunities, staying ahead of industry trends and best practices.
- The interpersonal skills. You have professional verbal and written communication skills. You can effectively translate complex data into actionable insights. You can build trusting collaborative relationships across teams and levels. You appreciate diverse perspectives and experiences, taking feedback and supporting the work of others.
